My experience in Workers’ Compensation and PI work came after my first job. Everybody says they get pegged in, in their first job, but I kind of enjoy this portion of the law. I feel like I’m helping people. The PI system and the Workers’ Compensation system are complicated systems. And by the time people get to me, they’ve already had a problem. They already have wage loss from work, they already are in pain, they’re on medicine, they’ve had surgery. And the same thing with a motor vehicle incident as well. So the systems that I got involved in and the more I got to know them, I really feel like I’m helping people because on a day-to-day basis, it’s an important thing to have somebody there who can answer questions and be honest with you.
