Yes.  You have the right to choose your own QRC.  Much like the choice of of choosing your doctor, once that choice has been made or made for you, it’s very difficult to go back in time and change your QRC.  So it’s very important that in the first meeting with your QRC, you determine whether or not this person is going to be truly independent, or if they have someone else’s interests in the back of their mind.
