well an undocumented person seeking a

driver’s license is going to have to

turn to the rules of their particular

state the issuance of driver’s licenses

are governed by the states the states

set their individual rules there are

many states in the united states

that

will be able to issue a driver’s license

to somebody who is undocumented

the vast majority will not be able to do

that new york state

where i practice where majority of my

cases are handled

no longer requires someone to be in

legal status in order to have a driver’s

license
