I actually have extensive experience in
U visas uh not only in
um in filing them and litigating them
with immigration but I’ve also done cles
where I teach other attorneys about you
visas u-visas are an incredible aspect
of immigration law they are for
individuals who have been victims of
crimes in the united in the United
States and they have reported those
crimes to the police and cooperated with
the police or the prosecutors in the
investigation or prosecution of that
crime it’s important to note though that
nobody needs to be arrested in AU visa
application or or the crime that led to
the uv’s application simply reporting
that crime and making yourself available
to the police and the investigation is
sufficient to file for a u-visa once you
file for EU Visa
you eventually
get a decision on that you visa and you
can eventually obtain a green card as
well it’s an incredible tool for
individuals who have different
immigration difficulties the UVS are
really overcomes a lot of Prior issues
that someone might have had with
immigration
TVs is similarly are for individuals who
have been trafficked to the United
States that is human trafficking either
labor trafficking or in many cases
unfortunately uh sexual trafficking
those individuals who report the
trafficking and again cooperate in the
investigation of that trafficking to the
extent necessary can obtain a t visa a t
visa application will also ultimately
lead to a green card if they meet
certain requirements
