I’d say the biggest changes in the last five years are twofold; one is that there’s, as I said previously, there’s a much bigger focus on former athletes and whether contracts apply and how they apply and how basic – general concepts of sports law apply to former athletes. But people are also starting to ask questions that were not pressed before, for example, college athletes, there’s a lot of money made off of college athletes, college athletes are amateurs, do those things square and is it still the right thing to do to be making billions and billions of dollars on players who live hand-to-mouth and not have them share in that in some way.
So really, taking the traditional notions of sports law, agency, contract, publicity rights, personal injury, all those things and sort of applying them and asking questions about athletes who haven’t been covered so far.
