That’s one that most people think they are entitled to. In California we’re an at-will-employment state. You can quit at any time. They can also let you go at any time. There is not requirement that they have to pay you for anything. The only time you get that is if it’s either in your union contract, or if there’s some sort of published plan if you’re a publicly traded company, or if it’s just something that they do and they put in their handbook. So the big answer is no, you’re not entitled to it unless those items happen.
