aspect of handling these cases
understanding what chronic pain or
complex regional pain syndrome which is
a part of chronic pain means to the
victim in the family it is
a family problem when somebody has a
CRPS and it’s a relationship problem if
somebody’s in chronic pain they’re
likely to interact with me differently
than somebody who is not so I think from
a starting point we need we need to sort
of support them through the process
understand what’s really happening here
and and you know getting the case from
point A to point B is one thing getting
the client
from here to there is the other and also
the unfortunate understanding at the end
of the case that the case is ending but
the condition isn’t and there’s a
tendency for people to associate their
condition with the case and have this
illusion that when the case ends they’ll
feel better and they won’t hopefully
they’ll have more money but the the
condition stays foreign
