I think certain people are suited to do certain things and I know that the way I think about it is we practice in an industry where there’s sort of two sides of the aisle. There’s the groom side and the bride side. And people are sometimes cut to represent individuals or cut to represent corporations. And I think that I’ve always had a leaning towards helping the underdog, the individuals, and things like that, so I would much rather all of the time, anytime represent individuals over and against companies, insurance companies, business companies.
I went to college in Northern Minnesota, Concordia College a liberal arts college. And then I went out to Montana and did school out there, a little grad school out there before I came back. And when I came back, I decided to go to law school and really, at that time I decided that I wanted to help individuals with disabilities. Not even specifically for their injuries but just navigating work, school, that aspect and that’s one of the reasons that I ended up getting into this area, which is personal injury, worker’s compensation, individuals that have injuries or need accommodations and things like that. So that’s what sort of first got me into this area of the law.
The amount of devotion that they have to doing cases and helping the people is really unparalleled. And so I’m lucky to be a part of the team and it’s really nice to be here with Dean and Doug and Stephanie and the amount of experience that they have and the devotion they have to their clients is really fun and inspiring.
