One of the first things you should do is try to be sure that the police are notified so that things can be documented and the details of the collision, the facts around the collision can be documented. If necessary, you should seek out medical treatment for any injuries that you may have sustained and then notify any insurance companies that are involved with it particularly if you are carrying coverage for what we call no fault or personal injury protection benefits in Minnesota. You typically cannot get those on a motorcycle through the insurance but there may be some medical payments coverage or other things that can help with the bills.
