I am a court appointed special advocate, which is a CASA volunteer. So in addition to the work that I do on behalf of foster care children I also do volunteer work where I am assigned to one child within the foster care system in Los Angeles County, and it is my job to go to court on a volunteer basis and advocate for that child and make sure that that child’s needs are being met.
Torrance, CA personal injury attorney Carly Sanchez talks about her work with foster children. She explains that as a CASA volunteer, I am a court-appointed special advocate who is assigned to advocate for a specific child in the foster care system in Los Angeles County. Along with my work representing foster care children, I volunteer my time to ensure that the child’s needs are met and I attend court on a voluntary basis to advocate for them.
