The focus of my practice is insurance bad faith cases, in particular, I do a lot of duty to defend work where we’re representing corporations in connection with large disputes involving failure to pay defense costs or reimburse defense costs in a settlement environment where the insurer was required to under the policy reimburse defense costs or pay for the settlement in a case.

My background before becoming a lawyer, I grew up in the Inland Empire. I was born and raised here. I graduated from Redlands High School. After that, I attended Berkeley on a swimming scholarship. I competed at Berkeley on the swim team for four years. After that, I graduated in political science. I moved back down here with my girlfriend at the time my now wife, we did a short sting as substitute teachers down here and then both got jobs back up in the Bay area. She got a job at a company and I got a job at a dotcom. I worked in finance for a couple years up there. Then we moved back down here for us to both go to school. She got her master’s degree; I got my law degree from the University of Laverne locally here. I was valedictorian of my law school class and I met Mike Bidart at graduation and I started practicing law in 2008 right after getting my bar results.

When I’m not practicing law, I like to spend time with my family. We like to travel. My wife is from Thailand, she was an Olympian and so, we go back to Thailand frequently to travel. My kids are very athletic they are all doing various different things. My son’s in Little League baseball right now and it’s the playoff season so we are constantly going to games to watch him play. My other son is in Tae Kwan Do and also does baseball. And I have a little girl who also did t-ball this year and so we just enjoy spending time with the family and traveling.
