the most important thing that a family

law attorney can do for their client is

talk them off the ledge

and keep them focused on what’s

important and not to obsess over the

issues that aren’t important this is

their first go around through the

process and they don’t know that’s why

they rely upon their attorney to let

them know what’s important and what

isn’t important

I started my legal career as a

prosecutor in Boston many years ago by

the time I moved into private practice I

had tried about 60 felony cases to

juries in Suffolk County there are no

juries in the probate and family court

but the principle is the same the judge

adjudicates all of the issues and you’re

trying the cases in the same way that

you uh I did back years ago trying

criminal cases

the skill set is the same

I try to resolve all of my domestic

cases as efficiently as possible that’s

always the goal but if push comes to

shove I’m not afraid to try a case
