My philosophy is, number one, I am pretty well-known as an attorney who does not cooperate his clients, meaning I do not take my clients into assist a government or the state and make them a snitch. My philosophy is to go in and from the very beginning make it known to the prosecutors that they are going to have a fight on their hands, that I am not intimidated by the prosecutors, not federal, not state. And I am not, frankly, intimidated by the judges. I am fighting for my client. And that is my job and that’s what I will do.

If, as I said, my clients at some point ask me to try to get them a deal or a plea agreement and I get those orders from my clients or requests from my clients, that’s when I’m going to do it. But when a client comes to me, I am understanding that he or she wants to proceed to trial or a motion to fight their case.

Chicago, IL criminal defense attorney Gal Pissetzky talks about his philosophy when defending clients who have been charged with a serious crime. In his legal approach, the attorney follows a philosophy characterized by a refusal to cooperate with clients in assisting the government or the state as informants. From the outset, he emphasizes his commitment to a vigorous defense, making it clear to prosecutors, whether at the federal or state level, that he is prepared for a formidable legal battle and is not intimidated by their authority or the judiciary. His focus remains unwaveringly on advocating for his clients, demonstrating a resolute dedication to fulfilling his professional duty.

The attorney emphasizes that his stance may change if, at any point, clients express a desire for a deal or a plea agreement. In such instances, he is open to pursuing negotiations based on the explicit instructions or requests from his clients. However, when clients initially approach him, he understands their intent to proceed with trial or motion proceedings, signaling his preparedness to fight their case in a court of law.
