I think the thing that really is rewarding is we make a difference, and it sounds cliché, but it really is. It’s more than just pushing paper. We don’t handle that many cases. We turn down 96 percent of the cases that come to our door. At this stage in my life, I wanna handle cases that make a difference, and at the end of a case, when your client hugs you and is crying and I’m crying, I mean, there’s just no feeling like it.

And when a CEO of a major nursing home case comes to you and says, “You know, it really made me mad that you kept suing me, but I gotta tell you, Mark, I didn’t know what was going on in my organization. My people were covering it up, and I’m gonna change it, and you’re not gonna get to sue me anymore,” that made my day.
