I know sometimes it feels like that’s your only option. I absolutely implore anyone to come and speak to an employment attorney before you decide to do that. Sometimes you can, you now, shoot yourself in the foot about what actions you might have. A lot of times people call me and they use the phrase, “Well, they know,” to suggest that the employer knows they’re being harassed, or the employer knows that this boss is, you know, having favorites. I have to be able to prove that they know, so if you quit before you file some sort of complaint that the employer can document and see that they had knowledge of you may lose your rights.

San Francisco Employment Attorney, Traci Hinden, shares that if an employee is being harassed to the point that they want to quit, the employee should immediately consult an attorney.
