It’s a really valid fear and most of the people that come to me, and they come to me too late, I wish they would have complained, because if you are terminated for filing a complaint, that’s retaliation, because they – you’re allowed to bring that to your employer and once an employer has knowledge of possible harassment they have an obligation to do a few things.
One: They must keep the complainant safe.
Two: They have to investigate it.
And, three: They have to take any action necessary to remediate the situation.
