so an order of protection is used when
we are filing on behalf of either
one of the
parents or one of the spouses
or if we’re filing on behalf of the
parents on behalf of the child and the
standard is whether or not
the
the child’s parent or the child
is at risk for physical or mental harm
by the person against whom we are filing
so it’s used either against the other
person
on behalf of the person themselves
or against a third party for example a
child or if you’re a guardian for
someone who’s elderly uh you can file a
restraining order for their behalf so
anybody who you have dominion and
control over
who is at a threat for physical or
mental abuse
by the party we’re filing against
