Besides the expungement context, sometimes the most rewarding part, I feel, when I’m a lawyer is when you bring some client to tears of joy. You give them a second chance in their case and in their life when you help keep them out of prison, help keep them from becoming a felon.

And they thank you. They send you cards. And they want to keep following up and emailing you and calling you and telling you how thankful they were for your help. And that’s when you really feel like you made a tremendous impact in somebody’s life.
