The real important question is what you’re hiring the attorney to do. If you’re simply hiring an attorney to meet with you and provide you what your rights are, what your responsibilities are, and what your claims you have, obviously, there doesn’t need to be a lot at stake to have those basic needs answered. Now if you want to go to court to litigate a breach of fiduciary duty claim against a trustee there really needs to be a significant amount of money at dispute in order to make it financially worthwhile to bring a claim for breach of fiduciary duty.
