Child support is calculated in a number of different factors. Primarily we’re looking at the gross income of both parents. Those incomes are added together and then applied to a child support calculator. The calculator uses three different formulas depending upon whether parenting time is divided with one parent having zero to 10 percent of the time, 10 to 45 percent of the time, or if both parents share parenting time 45 to 50 percent of the time. And it’s based upon those factors that we consider in determining the amount of child support.
