what we frequently see is grandparents
relatives and other caregivers who have
provided care
for children for an extensive period of
time
or frequently or frequently come to our
office looking at what options are
available
in a pursuit of custody
unfortunately i think we see that more
and more
based upon
opioid academic mental health those
issues being more prevalent
when those became more prevalent we have
seen
a really a rise in individuals
through
both the
juvenile court and family court process
seeking
third party custody
what is important for individuals to
know is the process through juvenile
court in the process through family
court is different i’ve represented
people through both processes but it’s
important to obtain an attorney who
understands both of those processes
because there are advantages and
disadvantages to proceeding in juvenile
court versus family court and you have
to have an attorney that understands the
pros and cons with regard to how you’re
going to proceed
