if you’re in the unfortunate situation
of being in a car accident if possible
you first need to get a police report
and have the accident documented you
should never leave the scene of an
accident until or unless there is some
documentation because the other vehicle
leaves the scene and you can’t identify
it you may need to prove that you
notified the police once you have that
under control then you really need to
think about yourself in terms of your
injuries because we all like to think
that we’re indestructible but you’re not
and if you’re in an accident you should
seek care promptly you should notify
your insurance company because in
Pennsylvania and in New Jersey where we
practice in both States you’re obligated
to have medical care provided through
your automobile insurance policy so you
want to get to an emergency room your
family doctor so that you get that
Prompt Care from there you can call us
will talk to you we’ll explain what your
rights are we’ll go through the issues
if your case resulted from the
negligence of another party we’ll be
able to take care of you everything from
the start of that case up to the end
whatever that ultimately is the
settlement the verdict
Etc but first thing you need to do is to
make sure your accident is reported and
that you’re taking care to document
whatever your injuries are you shouldn’t
take it lightly because if you do you
may make a mistake and as an example a
few years ago I was rear-ended it
happens to all of us and it was
fortunate that I went to the hospital
because my head was a little shaky and
they were able to figure out that there
was an injury there but a lot of us
would say oh I’m shaking up it’s okay
I’ll just go home well the best thing I
did was go to the hospital to get
checked out and everyone should do the
same thing take take care of yourself
you want to fix your body
